Kolkata Municipal Corporation receives Rs. 500 Crore for Thakurpukur drainage system from GOI

Kolkata Municipal Corporation has received Rs. 500 crore in financial aid from the Indian government to bolster the drainage system in the Thakurpukur area, an integral part of Kolkata. This investment is aimed at preventing water accumulation in the region during the upcoming monsoon season.

Tarak Singh, a prominent figure, visited Zoka Chhota Kachhari and Thakurpukur in Sonamukhi, Ashuti, Maheshtala block. He was accompanied by corporation engineers, the chairman of Borough number 16, and the president of Thakurpukur Maheshtala block. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance the drainage infrastructure, safeguarding against potential flooding.
